Sciatic Nerve Pains
I saw Mr Chopra in February 2012, when I was suffering sciatic nerve pains in my right leg. I underwent surgery in March 2012 - my life is no longer impeded by constant pain!
I am 75 years old, and in February this year (2012) I was referred to Mr Chopra by my GP as I had suffered for 3 months with sciatic nerve pains in my right leg extending down to my ankle.
After a scan, Mr Chopra recommended pain killing injections into the lower spine, but he was not confident that this would solve the problem. He was right, 3 weeks later the pain started to return. The recommended surgical procedure was "L3 - L5 pedicle screw stabilisation with laminectomy".
I had this surgery at the end of March followed by 3 months physiotherapy.
It is now September 2012 and I am suffering no ill effects. The pain has gone, and I need no medication. My life is no longer impeded by constant pain.
Summing up - Mr Chopra and the support staff were caring and competent in every aspect of my treatment and after care and my quality of life has improved immeasurably as a result.
